Do you need a quick and easy idea for a Grandparent’s day gift? Than I have just the thing for you. This cute bookmark is perfect if you have little feet running around your house.
Gather up your supplies and let’s get going.
– Card stock
– Acrylic paint
– Paint brush
– Scissors
– Double sided tape
The first step is the hardest. You’ll need to brush a coat of acrylic paint on your child’s foot and press their foot down on the card stock. Be sure to push all of their toes down to the paper.
Once you’ve cleaned up all of the paint you’ll want to download and print off the text for the back of your bookmark. Right click on the image below and save it to your computer. You can than insert the picture into a Word document and resize it to fit the size of your child’s foot. In the blank space next to the heart you can add your child’s name.
Now cut out the footprint and the text.
I decided to laminate my bookmarks so I attached the the text to the back of the footprint with double sided tape. If you aren’t going to laminate your bookmark you may want to glue the text on the back.
Once I had all of my bookmarks assembled I took them to a copy center to have them laminated. I want these things to last a long time! After they were laminated I cut them out and mailed them off to Henry’s proud Grandparents. 🙂
