Pinterest Project – Ear Flap Hat

I don’t know about you, but I love Pinterest and use it everyday to collect ideas and inspiration.  From time to time I would like to share some projects with you that I made using tutorials found on Pinterest.

Today’s Pinterest project is this adorable ear flap hat that I made using the instructions on Delia’s site Delia Creates.Ear Flap Hat - finddailyjoy.com

Not only does she provide a free printable pattern for a toddler size hat but she also gives instructions on how to re-size the pattern for a custom fit.  Using Delia’s easy to follow instructions I made a matching toddler hat for Henry and an adult hat for Stephen.Ear Flap Hat - finddailyjoy.com

For Henry I usually fold the ear flaps down and tie the strings under his chin to keep his ears and neck nice and warm.Ear Flap Hat - finddailyjoy.com

Stephen usually ties the flaps up on top of his head since he tends to get too hot while working.Ear Flap Hat - finddailyjoy.com

  1. I made the hat too for our grandson. I used veggie tale fleece as I had it on hand. I don’t see the measurements for making other sizes though.
