We spent the first day wandering around town and went to the Guinness World Record museum. I always loved looking through those books as a kid but seeing things life size really brings out the “WOW” factor.
That evening we went to the Lumberjack Feud dinner and show. The show had two families competing to win the logging rights to the mountain. We saw some pretty fancy axe wheeling and log sawing! Stephen’s Dad and brother got to participate in the the competition by sweeping up sawdust and dumping it into the bucket. They won by being the first team to fill the bucket enough to tip the seesaw.
Stephen got to join in the competition as well. He strapped on some tree climbing equipment and climbed half way up a 60′ pole. He wouldn’t want me to brag but I must say that he left the guy on the other team in the dust!
Henry could care less about the show but had a great time chewing on this straw.
On the third day we went to the Arts and Craft Community and saw some really unique handmade items but none of us were in a shopping mood so we didn’t spend very long there. Stephen did however buy me some fudge before we left. Mmmmmm…….so good! That evening we went out to dinner with Stephen’s Aunt and some cousins then went back to their cabin and played some games. I failed to take any pictures so you’ll just have to use your imagination. 🙂
The following day was Sunday so we went to church, ate lunch at one of the many pancake houses then said our goodbyes and headed home.
