Henry’s first hair cut went really really well! We were in and out in 10 minutes flat without any drama (insert big sigh of relief here).
In looking at these before and after pictures you may wonder why in the world I took him in for a hair cut.
Well…..it is because he had a mullet! And whenever he had a collared shirt on the long hair in the back would sick out even more. It was driving me crazy!
I actually wanted to get his hair cut 4 or 5 months ago but kept holding off. I saw all of these babies with silky soft curls and hoped that his hair would curl too…..but that never happened.
We went to a kids hair salon that offers a special deal for baby’s first hair cut. They only charge a penny and give you a certificate with a lock of hair.
I knew we were off to a good start when Henry threw his owl on the ground and ran off to explore all of the fun chairs. He eventually chose the sporty yellow car and was excited to sit inside. The stylist was amazing and sniped quickly as wiggly Henry turned the steering wheel and moved the shifter back and forth. It didn’t bother him at all that she was messing with his hair because he was having such a great time playing! The electric clipper I use to cut Stephen’s hair is loud and always scares Henry, but the clipper the stylist used was smaller and much quieter. He didn’t seem to notice it buzzing around his ears at all.
Before I knew it they were handing him a ballon and I was walking out the door with a handsome little boy!
Let’s get together!
Lol! I love it. Great story :). My nephew had a mullet too at that age and his mean auntie and uncle would make fun of it to his momma. Hee, hee.
Ha! How can you not! Stephen and I frequently made fun of Henry’s mullet. 🙂
