Kitchen Crinkle {Playing With Baby, Day 3}

I did a little brainstorming session to come up with a list of fun new activities for my ten month old and decided to share them with you over the next month in a series called 20 Days of Playing With Baby.  None of these ideas are Earth shattering, supper cool, never been done before activities but maybe you haven’t tried them before or maybe they will help spark a fun new activity of your own.

As I have told you guys before Henry likes to play in the kitchen cabinets and I let him play with various kitchen gadgets.  This time I gathered up some  items that can be found in the kitchen but that he isn’t usually allowed to play with.  I was looking for things that had different textures and would make different sounds when he crinkled them up in his hands.Kitchen Crinkle {Playing With Baby, Day 3} - finddailyjoy.com

For this activity I used:

  • Plastic grocery bag
  • Paper bag
  • Aluminum foil
  • Wax paper
  • Paper towel
  • Painter’s tape

I taped the items to the floor with painter’s tape because I wanted to discourage him from immediately putting everything in his mouth.  Sorry about this next picture.  It is kind of hard to tell what is going on with the crazy checkered floor!Kitchen Crinkle {Playing With Baby, Day 3} - finddailyjoy.com

You can’t go wrong with something shinny.Kitchen Crinkle {Playing With Baby, Day 3} - finddailyjoy.com

The handle on the paper bag was another big hit.Kitchen Crinkle {Playing With Baby, Day 3} - finddailyjoy.com

Now I need to think of some other items that would make interesting sounds.  Do you have any suggestions?
