I hope that you all had a very merry Christmas! I figured I should hurry up and share some pictures of our Christmas before New Years arrives. Yikes! Where does the time go?
We started our Christmas festivities by going downtown to see the Festival of Trees. Henry liked the trees but was tired so he didn’t get overly excited by them. Stephen was more interested in looking at the fancy hotel than the trees themselves so he kept trying to zoom around with the stroller and peak at different areas of the lobby. Ha! At least I looked at most of the trees and enjoyed all of the creative themes and ornaments.
Next up on the agenda was the Christmas program at church where we were reminded of the greatest gift ever given, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! It was so nice to gather together, sing praises and worship at this special time of year.
For the first time in our married life we didn’t travel out of town for Christmas. The three of us had our own little Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve. In the morning we opened our stockings.
Henry has learned what to do with wrapping paper and so he had much more fun opening these gifts than he did at his birthday party.
And of course playing with the package the toy came in may be more fun than playing with the toy itself.
In the afternoon we decided to go shopping. We had already finished our Christmas shopping so we just had fun wandering around and looking at things. The highlight for Henry was going down the toy aisle and playing with all of the fun toys.
After Henry went to bed Stephen and I had a romantic candlelight dinner. Stephen enjoyed the cornish game hen while I enjoyed the mini pie and of course we enjoyed each others company. 🙂
On Christmas day we went over to my Grandparents house to spend the day with them and some of my other relatives. We had a big dinner, open gifts, talked and laughed.
